👵Threads of Tradition & Love💖🌸
This Sunday, as I wrapped myself in my Nani’s gorgeous sari, I couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of serenity, safety, and calm 🤎🩷🤎. There’s something about wearing this timeless, classic Indian fashion that makes me feel deeply connected to my roots and heritage 🌏💖. My Nani’s sari is more than just a piece of clothing—it’s a legacy, a story, and a comforting embrace across time 🕰️✨.

🤩 It has always been such an honour for me to weave my beloved Nani into my creative projects, paying tribute to her and the culture that has shaped me. In past theatre productions like Sue & Sita and The Dancing Elephant 🐘💃, the concept of having Nani as a character brought such depth and authenticity to the stories we told 🎭🌟. Her essence continues to inspire so many aspects of my artistic expression.
🪄 And the inspiration doesn’t stop there—Ri Ri’s Dance Academy’s upcoming children’s theatre tour of The Magic Stick will also incorporate my Nani 🌟👧🎭. Just earlier this year, during my TEDx presentation in February, I was proud to feature my beautiful Nani, bringing her spirit to the stage and sharing her influence with a wider audience ✨💡
Every project I work on is carefully crafted to authentically highlight segments of my culture, heritage, and deep connection to my Nan 🥰🌸. Whether it’s through storytelling, dance, or theatre, celebrating her legacy allows me to remain anchored to who I am while sharing this rich heritage with others 💃🎨.
Fashion, in itself, is an art form, and wearing my Nani’s sari is a way to showcase timeless Indian elegance while embracing history and individuality 💖✨. It’s a beautiful reminder that our clothes can carry stories, connections, and values.

Through my creative journey, from past productions to upcoming tours, my Nani’s unwavering presence continues to motivate and inspire me 🌟. Her influence is woven into every step, every twirl, and every smile I share on stage and beyond 🩰🌠.
Let’s celebrate timeless traditions and the loved ones who shape us 💕🎭
What timeless treasures connect you to your heritage?
With love,
