Welcome to my iron oxide free blog.

For all my life I have suffered with eczema, psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. But it reached a point where this was extremely painful and evident on my eyelids, around my lips and in my scalp – it was hugely affecting my confidence, my life and my career in the performing arts industry.

After going to see a dermatologist, privately, it was recommended that I had patch tests at the hospital, in 2019.

Following these patch tests it became apparent that I was allergic to iron oxides which are present in 99% of make up! The colour codes which I am allergic to are:

C1 77499

Being allergic to iron oxides is extremely disheartening and I searched for hours and hours in an attempt to find some alternative make-up products without any iron oxides in them.

I wanted to write this blog so it would help other people who also have this allergy. Below is a list of some make-up and nail products which I have managed to find, iron oxide free. I will be updating this list when I find new products.
