This week, I had the absolute honour of attending the “It Starts in Salford” celebration at the prestigious House of Lords. This event was a remarkable gathering focused on how The University of Salford is shaping the future of skills, fostering growth, and breaking barriers to opportunity. 🚀💡

As the only Indian female at the entire event, I felt a profound sense of pride and responsibility. It was inspiring to be part of such an important conversation and to represent diversity in a space where innovative ideas and transformative initiatives were being discussed.

The event highlighted the incredible work being done by The University of Salford to equip students with the skills needed for the future. From cutting-edge research to industry partnerships, the university is at the forefront of creating opportunities for growth and development. The discussions emphasised the importance of breaking down barriers to ensure that everyone has access to these opportunities, regardless of their background.

One of the most memorable aspects of the event was reconnecting with old friends and making new connections. 🤝💕 It was heartwarming to see familiar faces and to meet so many passionate individuals who are dedicated to making a difference. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and a shared commitment to driving positive change.

Visiting the House of Lords for the first time was an unforgettable experience. 🌟🫶 The grandeur of the venue added to the significance of the occasion, and it was a privilege to be part of such a historic setting. The event was not only a celebration of the achievements of The University of Salford but also a reminder of the power of education and collaboration in shaping a better future.

In conclusion, the “It Starts in Salford” celebration at the House of Lords was a truly inspiring event. It reinforced the importance of skills developmentgrowth, and breaking barriers to opportunity. I am grateful for the chance to have been part of this conversation and to have represented my community in such a meaningful way.

I look forward to attending more exciting events in the future and sharing my journey with you all!

Lots of love,
