I wear so many hats in my career that I don’t share about my groundwork in Indian classical dance nearly as much as I shouldβbut it’s at the heart of everything I do! β€οΈπ
βοΈ Two years ago, I was literally flying through my role as a dance choreographer and movement director for Ri Ri’s Dance Academy’s children’s touring theatre production, “The Dancing Elephant.” πβ¨ It was an incredible project where every step of the choreography was carefully crafted to bring the emotion of the story to life ππ and create a lasting connection with the audience. πΆπ£

With my extensive experience, ranging from teaching choreography for British Soap Operas, such as channel 4’s “Hollyoaks” πΊ, leading on national theatre tours ππ«, and creating impactful outdoor arts with audiences in their thousands ππ¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦, Iβve realised one truth: the art of choreography varies so much between live audiences, television, and theatre. Itβs not just about the movesβitβs about the storyline and the emotions those movements convey. ππ Every performance aims to leave an indelible mark on the audience, evoking reactions and sparking imagination. β¨π€―

Each platform demands its own unique approachβchallenging, but oh-so-rewarding and my Indian dance groundwork is an elementally grateful for!πππͺ
Lots of love,
